Welcome

Cranmer Memorial is a correspondence course college serving reformed and evangelical churches and Christians. Originally known as The College of Presbyters, the college was  established in 1936 to meet the needs of the Protestant Evangelical Church of England,(a small Anglican denomination)  later known as  the Protestant Episcopal Reformed Church. In 1997 the college became independent, and is now able to offer a greater range of courses to a wider constituency. The college is unashamedly “built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone” (Ephesians 2:20). We further believe that the great truths of historical Christianity have been enshrined in the great evangelical creeds that were formulated at the time of the Reformation and later, these include The Savoy Declaration,(Congregationalist) The Westminster Confession,(Presbyterian) 1689 Baptist Confession, and The Thirty-nine Articles,(Anglican).  We therefore accept these as subordinate standards of faith, (to Holy Scripture) along with the five great pillars of the Reformation:-

Sola Gratia ..(by).. Grace Alone

Sola Fide ..(by).. Faith Alone

Solo Christo ..(in).. Christ Alone

Sola Scriptura ..(from).. Scripture Alone

Soli Deo Gloria  ..For God's Glory Alone
